Dr. Kovak earned his MD from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and completed his residency at University of Chicago Hospitals. He further specialized with a competitive fellowship in dermatologic laser surgery at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery (affiliated with Georgetown University Medical Center).
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Kovak holds a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Health Law from DePaul University College of Law, graduating in the top 10% of his class—a rare multidisciplinary background that informs his nuanced approach to clinical ethics, safety, and regulatory best practices.
